Ironically, I found photography not by seeking out photo opportunities but by seeking out other things that make me happy. From gravel biking across Italy to mountain biking in Santa Cruz to crisp winter hikes in the Californian sierras, I found myself in places and situations where I wanted a camera. The rest explains itself.

I’m an avid mountain biker, traveler, hiker, and explorer. I’ve found this is my favorite way to find opportunities to photograph. I believe in human-created art and I’m a firm practitioner of the dialectic between disciplines that happens when you’re a creator across multiple disciplines. I write music for TV and film, I have done extensive work in the product design space for fortune 500 clients, and I photograph what I find when I’m on adventures. It all influences it all and my photography practice is a celebration of that symbiotic energy.
